ACU - Antenna Control Unit
The Antenna Control Unit (ACU) is a module installed directly on the antenna, serving for monitoring & control the entire system’s Outdoor Unit (ODU). This solution is dedicated for SMART by GISS terminals as well as other motorized and manual antenna systems (after applicable adaptation).
The built-in signal distribution system provides: 10 MHz reference signal & DC power supply for LNB (Low Noise Block) and RFT (Radio Frequency Transmitter). A local graphical user interface (GUI) and a web interface allow users to monitor and control the antenna, transmitter and receiver. Built-in self-test equipment enable precise fault detection down to individual modules. Additionally, the ACU can manage modems installed in the IDU (Indoor Unit) without switch attention from antenna operations.
Depending on the chosen configuration, the ACU can feature of conversion optical signals such as L-Band Rx, L-Band Tx, 10 MHz reference and Gigabit Ethernet. With the external SMART No-IDU modem module, allows to eliminate the traditional IDU part of the system.
Reliable antenna positioning in every conditions
Our state-of-the-art terminal alignment algorithm enables automatic antenna pointing to the selected satellite under any conditions, with no need to level the terminal base. Alignment can be achieved using satellite's Beacon signal, DVB-S signal or satellite modem signal currently in use by the system.
The elimination of lengthy positioning procedures significantly reduces system setup time, enabling operational readiness in well under 20 minutes. This efficiency ensures swift deployment for critical missions.
